Happy @ Work

Herman’s good friend Irma told him a strange story about something that happened the other day at her office During a video conference, one of Irma’s coworkers complained about her workplace.

The irony is — she was working remotely from her home!

They grumbled in their tents, and did not obey the voice of the Lord. (Ps 106:25; NRSV)

The Bible is referring to a group of people in another time and another place. Those people murmured in their tents and did not obey the Lord. Irma’s story really made Herman think about the here and the now.

St Paul reminds us to do all things without grumbling (Phil. 2:14). It seems hardly imaginable these days. For the last few years, there’s been a lot of whining from a lot of corners.

Herman decided that there would be no more complaining in his life. He reckoned it would be better to be thankful and happy.

“Like most things in life,” Herman thought, “happiness begins with a decision.” The little, orange mouse decided to be happy today — tomorrow would have its own story (if tomorrow ever actually arrived).

That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. God has a plan and purpose for you life (Jer 29:11). Trust Him!

In Christ.

Let’s go prayer walking!
