The Power of Love

The Apostle St. Paul told Timothy, “Indeed, the grace of our Lord has been abundant, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim 1:1-14)

Love is the key! The world is drawn to love.

Each of us has a responsibility to join God in His creative and redemptive work. We do this everyday with our families. We should also do it with our co-workers in the workplace.

We are called by God to the vocation of our careers. He wants us to use the gifts and talents He has given us along with the knowledge and experience we have acquired. We are to bear fruit in our work, and it is for His glory (Jn 15:8) so that others might know Him too.

Careers are not really about prestige or money. Yes, you develop an identity in your career. And surely, you should be paid for your work (1 Tim 5:18). But your career is more like a swift “chariot” that you ride for the glory of God.

Learn to see yourself as one of Jesus’ friends (Jn 15:15) and your career as an important part of His Kingdom (Mt 6:33).

Don’t rely on your words to reach others today. Love them!
